Hyrox Training Sessions
Furzefield Leisure Centre are proud to be an official Hyrox Training Partner and bringing Hyrox training sessions to our gym and class timetable.
What is Hyrox?
Hyrox is a global fitness sport, designed for mass participation, meaning that anyone over the age of 16 can take part. Hyrox combines running with functional workout stations.
Participants complete functional exercises, followed by a 1km run, repeated a total of 8 rounds with different exercises at each station.
What can I expect from a Hyrox Training Session?
Hyrox training sessions at Furzefield Leisure Centre are available weekly, five days a week either an early morning, lunchtime or evening hour long sessions.
Each session, guided by our trained instructors will incorporate a range of Hyrox functional exercises and will include running to help participants to build endurance.
The sessions will vary each time and are perfect for anyone wanting to improve their fitness or become a regular training session for someone who is looking to enter a Hyrox race.
A typical session might include the following exercises;
- Sled push and pull
- Farmers Carry with Kettlebells
- Sandbag lunges
- Wall balls
- Ski Erg
- Rower
- Treadmill



Classes
Hyrox Technique Training Sessions
In addition to the weekly sessions, we will be hosting regular Hyrox technique training sessions with our personal trainer Katie, who is also a Hyrox Elite competitor.
These sessions will combine all elements of the Hyrox race and focus on tips and techniques to be fully prepared for a Hyrox Race.
